PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (PDP)
Best for: Future enterprise leaders seeking broad exposure and long-term impact
Length: 3–4 years | Rotation Length: 12–18 months
The PDP is a multi-year rotational leadership program designed to help you build broad experience across Unum. Through hands-on rotations in key business areas including: Benefits, Finance, IT, Digital Transformation, Marketing, Customer Service, Underwriting, Enrollment, and Management, you’ll gain enterprise perspective while developing leadership capability and defining your long-term path. Each rotation is designed to stretch your capabilities and help prepare you to lead through change.
What you’ll experience:

- Meaningful ownership of work, including leading projects and presenting to senior leaders

ACTURIAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (ADP)
Best for: Those pursuing actuarial expertise and leadership
Length: Multi-year | Rotation Length: 18–24 months
The ADP develops actuarial and leadership skills while supporting your path toward the FSA designation. You’ll gain experience across multiple product lines and build deep technical and analytical capabilities.

Accounting & Finance Leadership Program (AFLP)
Best for: Future financial leaders
Length: Multi-year | Rotation Length: 18–24 months
AFDP supports both early-career and experienced accounting/finance professionals as they deepen technical expertise and pursue credentials like the CPA or CFA. Participants rotate through teams such as Corporate Accounting, Financial Reporting, Investment Accounting, Treasury, Tax, and FP&A.
